Proxy.org Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How can I get a listing on Proxy.org?
There are two ways to get a listing on Proxy.org:

1. Free - Give proxy.org a text link (pointing to "https://proxy.org/") from the homepage of your sites and then submit your proxies here.

2. Paid - Proxy.org now lists over 44,000 proxies. You can make your proxies stand out and get much more traffic with a paid listing.

How many proxies can I submit?
You may submit as many proxies as you like. However, please consolidate your submissions as much as possible and make no more than one submission per day.

Will you list my proxy?
Probably. Proxy.org lists only working web-based proxy sites. Each site must have a unique domain name and have a proxy script installed. Proxy.org does not list sites that merely redirect to or frame other proxy sites. Proxy.org reserves the right to refuse a listing to any proxy, at any time, in it's sole discretion.

Where are listings displayed?
There are many places where Proxy.org listed proxies are displayed, including:

1. Proxy.org Homepage
Clicking on any individual proxy in the proxy list submits the form which then takes the user to the URL specified via the proxy that was selected. If the user does not enter a URL then they are directed to the homepage of the proxy that was selected.

2. The Proxy Form
The same list as #1 above is syndicated to third party websites.

3. Master Proxy List
This page has the largest proxy list. Top Listings and Bold Listings are also featured prominently in the middle of the page. These links redirect to the homepage of the proxy.

4. Sorted List 1 and Sorted List 2
These pages contain lists of working proxies sorted by country, software, IP, and ISP so that users can quickly and easily find proxies that meet their needs. These links redirect to the homepage of the proxy. Top Listings are highlighted in green and Bold Listings are highlighted in yellow.

How much traffic can I expect from a listing? How much traffic has my listing received?
While Proxy.org does not warrant the level of traffic that any listing will receive, measured from October 3, 2018 to October 9, 2018, Proxy.org sent an average of:

0 hits per day to each of 882 Regular Listings.
820 hits per day to each of the 1 Bold Listings.
160 hits per day to each of the 3 Top Listings.

See the Proxy Statistics page for complete details.

What is the pricing and availability of paid listings?
1. Top Listings cost $ per proxy per month. Top Listings are available now. All listings are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Order your Top Listing here.

3. Bold Listings cost $100 per proxy per month. Bold Listings are available all the time. Order a Bold Listing here.

If I purchase a one-month ad, how long would it run? Would it stop at the end of the calendar month or run for 31 days?
Proxy.org will deliver exactly what you pay for. When you purchase a one-month ad, it will run for one calendar month. For example, if you purchased an ad today (June 2, 2026), it would run until July 03, 2026.

Do you allow substitutions of paid listing or other ads?
Yes, but with the following limitations: One substitution is permitted before an ad goes live. After an ad goes live no substitutions will be provided. Proxy.org may refuse any substitution request for any reason in it's sole discretion.

Do you offer any discounts for bulk purchases of paid listings or other ads?
Discounts are automatically applied to the purchase of ads for one-year, two-year, and three-year durations. The selected duration is the sole determining factor for discount eligibility, not the quantity of ads purchased.

Why is my proxy listed as defunct?
Every proxy that has a listing on Proxy.org is tested periodically throughout the day. The Proxy.org system checks to make sure that each proxy is accessible and functioning correctly. When a proxy fails this test it is temporarily listed as "defunct" until it passes the test again.

Your proxy may have been unaccessible or malfunctioning during the last test. If it is up and running during the next test your listing will be re-enabled. Sometimes a proxy can be listed as defunct due to a poorly implemented anti-hotlinking strategy. If you are blocking hotlinking, please ensure that you allow traffic from "proxy.org" as well as from blank referrers.

There are two ways to ensure that your proxy is not listed as defunct:

1. Keep your proxy accessible and functioning correctly.

2. Purchase a paid listing.

How can I have my proxy listed as SSL capable?
Just follow the following steps:

1. Purchase an SSL certificate that is signed by a known certificate authority (self-signed certificates are not acceptable).

2. Properly install the SSL certificate on your server.

3. Submit your proxy. Proxy.org reserves the right to refuse a listing to any proxy, at any time, in it's sole discretion.
